WP1: 11 FILM and CC PREPARATION

OBJECTIVES: Fe(Se,Te) thin films deposition for extended characterization; development of metallic substrates with or without buffer layer; fabrication of CCs

WP2: 11 FILM and CC CHARACTERIZATION

WP Leaders: Laura Gozzellino (POLITO), Enrico Silva (ROMA3)

OBJECTIVES: Structural and morphological characterization of substrates, thin films and CC; investigation of the superconducting properties of thin films and CCs through advanced EM characterizations.

WP3: MODELLING and ASSESSMENT OF CC PERFORMANCES

WP Leaders: Ilaria Pallecchi (UNIGE), Gianluca Ghigo (POLITO)

OBJECTIVES: Modeling of the EM properties to investigate the role of grain boundaries and pinning mechanisms; comparing the properties of CCs with those of thin films in order to assess the mechanisms limiting the Jc; testing the resistance of CCs to irradiation; giving a final assessment of performances and advantages of IBS CCs with respect to other technical superconductors.

WP4: PROJECT MANAGEMENT

WP Leader: Marina Putti (UNIGE)

OBJECTIVES: Providing coordination and status monitoring of the project; organizing the project meetings; training students/young researchers; dissemination and exploitation of the project results.
